St. Andrew’s recently hosted the AIPL track meet, and the Middle School boys and girls teams both ran away with the title. The girls’ team totaled 122 points, with Waldorf finishing in a distant second place with 62 total points. On the boys’ side, the Crusaders tallied 118 points, with St. Stephen’s the next closest team with only 70 points.
There were many great individual and relay finishes, and St. Andrew’s set AIPL records in two different events. Amira Douglas (’15) set the record in the long jump with a distance of 15’ 2½”, and the boys’ 4x400 relay team eclipsed the 4 minute mark en route to breaking the record with a time of 3:59.80. The relay consisted of Nathan Hornaday (’15), Drew Beathard (’15), Cole Baker (’16) and Daniel Frishman (’15).
