Lizzie Ford Promoted To Head Varsity Cheer Coach
St. Andrew’s is excited to announce the hiring of Lizzie Ford to be the Head Varsity Cheer Coach. She takes over the program from Julie Myers, served as Head Coach for five years.
Coach Ford is from Houston, and she graduated from Kinkaid, a fellow SPC school. While at Kinkaid, Coach Ford cheered all four years, with the last three years on the Varsity team. Coach Ford was named an NCA All-American in her freshman, junior, and senior years. Additionally, she was a captain in her senior year.
Following that, Coach Ford came to Austin to attend the University of Texas. As a freshman, Coach Ford was a cheerleader for the Longhorns. She has helped coach with high school cheer camps and other programs. Additionally, Coach Ford was a competitive gymnast growing up.
Coach Ford says, "I am honored to be a new part of the St. Andrew’s family. Thank you to everyone at the school for giving me such a great opportunity. I can't wait to get started and have an exciting and successful season!”
